Other things that count are money off things in shopping eg BOGOF's, 2 for a reduced price, money off coupons, saving money by taking lunches to work, money saved by buying 'own brands' in supermarkets intead of famous labels, money saved in petrol by walking (not miles and miles off course
). In my case as a smoker, I cut down and buy a cheaper brand. I'm sure there are lots more ideas - I'd love to hear them too
PamThis is probably going to sound quite stupid, but how do people make £10 a day all the time??0 -
yes they do but most people can find a little bit of cash even if it isn;t £10 a day:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heart

no idea what my nerdnumber is - i am now officially nerd 229, no idea on my debt free date0 -
I bought some groceries for a friend when I ordered mine and she insisted on overpaying, so I have an extra £2.40 to add! Also a payment from pinecone, so that's another £4. Total so far £95.56.
Also, can I count the ferry tickets which I ordered with Tesco clubcard points? I saved myself £64 (or actually twice that because I paid for a friend too). Technically I could claim I saved even more since my plans had to change - if I'd travelled the time I wanted to, the same journey would have cost me £153!!!! By travelling a few hours later than I wanted I saved almost £90....but I won't include that. I will include the £64 though, I think, since it has meant a virtually free holiday (except petrol costs)especially as <whispers> I think about £40 of the £120 of vouchers I used were out of date...
A little sneaky I think and I feel slightly guilty including it, but there....total to £159.56April £10 a day challenge £321.85/£300 May £10 a day challenge £136.93/£310 July £20 a day challenge £530.57/£6200 -

I must stop procrastinating and sign up for some mystery shopping
I'll just have to see if I can fit any assignments around my working hours.
This is a really good challenge for me because I'm now questioning what I'm spending far more than i ever used to (hence my debts) and it truly is amazing what you can make / save if you really put your mind to it.
Agreed - there is a limit to what you can sell on Ebay, so I will have to find more money saving/making means.
I do need to do a car boot sale though - some of the stuff would never sell on ebay or wouldn't be economic to do so.
Any other ideas, you pros at the challenge ?0 -
Just sold another 2 books through Amazon – woohoo! Not for very much money but every little helps.PigginSkint's debt free diary
