Is it true one does not have to pay VAT tax if sales are under £5.8k p/a?
Hi, Am thinking of setting up business but for first year my investment will be £2000 and profit £1000. Therefore under £5.8k . Does this mean I don't have to pay VAT or can clime back teh 17.5% on all sales at the end of tax year? Please explain how this works. Thank You

I am using Sage Line 50 to do my accounts for my new business. I have just entered all my purchases i.e. stationary, petrol etc on my nominal accounts ledger. As I have already paid for these items, do I enter them as a debit and credit in the box provided on the nominal ledger? Please help. Simon
