Bank of Cyprus UK
Any recommendations / warnings for Bank of Cyprus UK Online Easy Access Account ? I've read you can only make withdrawals to your nominated bank account. But can you pay into the Cyprus account from any other bank? I see it is no longer listed on MSE as one of the top savings accounts.

When to rebalance a portfolio??
The recent pullback / not pullback / pullback-to-be got me thinking about when to rebalance a portfolio? If I have decided on a 60/40 equity/bond portfolio, and due to a pullback in equities (but not so much in bonds) the percentages change, then I understand the benefits that might come from rebalancing (in effect, buying…

LISA Bonus Issues
Hi all - problem with my LISA bonus (some may also have encountered the same with H2B ISAs...) With my Nutmeg LISA, my details match those at HMRC, but HMRC keep rejecting submissions from Nutmeg related to my bonus. There appears to be no logical reason for this - anybody else had similar issues? And how did you resolve…

Paying into a H2B ISA and a LISA in 17/18 tax year
Hi all, I'm planning to transfer my Help To Buy ISA (H2B) to my Lifetime ISA (LISA). I opened my H2B in December 2015 with the maximum £1200, and have paid in £200 a month ever since. I understand that when I transfer the H2B over to the LISA, the amount I saved before April 2017 won't count towards the £4K I can…

Investment Trust Costs
According to the Hargreaves Lansdown website the 'Ongoing charge' of EDIN.L is 0.60%. How is this charge collected? If I buy the EDIN.L shares do I have to pay additional annual charges? Or do the charges come out of the Dividends? TIA

Savings Builder or similar
I have a savings builder account with Natwest, this allows me instant access to the savings which suits me as a car/mortgage is imminent. I get 1% for the first £5k, 0.5% for the second and 0.2% on anything over £10k and I only have to pay £50/month in. The account totals £21k so I think I could be using the excess over…

Savings for my child without ex getting it
Hello Excuse the long story - my ex and I have separated and he has since opened a Junior ISA for our son. I have my son's savings in my name, incase I die; the money becomes part of my estate. Is there a way of having my son's savings in his name but a way they are safe should I die. Basically my ex would spend the money…

'you must pay in £750'
The terms & conditions for savers accounts say stuff like "you must pay in £750 per month" to get the annual interest. To fulfil this requirement, can I simply transfer £750 from another one of my bank accounts using banking appl on my iphone and then withdraw it out again a few days after - and just repeat this every…

Grove Developments Property Fund
Hi Has anyone come across the Grove Developments Property Fund? They claim to pay up to 12.8% interest on a 48 month bond, but also as much as 10.9% for a 12 month bond. This seems to good to be true and as my dad always used to say to me .... The prospectus is nicely packaged, the website looks professional…

Switching current account - does it affect ISA?
Hi everyone Apologies if this has already been answered somewhere else in this forum, but I can't seem to find an answer to this question... I have a current account with Lloyds Bank (this is our only current account) and also a number of Junior ISAs for our children. We have 3 children so they have one Junior ISA each…

AA Easy Saver problem
I set up a transfer from a Tesco Internet Saver to a new AA Easy Saver, but when the money did not appear in the AA account I was told it was because it only accepts payments from my main linked account. So I’m trying to get the money back into the Tesco account. But after a series of phone calls I have AA telling me that…

Underlying Funds
Folks, Would you consider these Underlying (Fund of Funds) a good option for long term pension funds for growth? I know some have higher charges due to their wide diversification. I have a pension fund with Fidelity Black RockLong Term 60/40 fund with 0.35% charges, which seems reasonable. I'm thinking of reducing the % on…

My ISA Funds
Hi all, I am not looking for expert advice, I could reach out to an IFA for that ;) I was wondering what everyone thought of the funds and stocks I hold in my ISA, I think it's well diversified. Anything I could do better? I say it's well diversified but it has been stung this week. Fevertree Drinks plc HSBC American Index…

How do I get the most out of the money I've saved?
Hi everyone! Before I get to the question, I think a bit of background information might be helpful. I am 27 and currently have a salary of £22k, which is due to rise to £24k this week. I'm still living at home but I'm looking to move out and rent for a while for personal reasons. As I don't want to house share, I will end…

Hargreaves Landsdown to "update" their website
Nothing wrong with the current one as far as I can see but hey ho lots of folk have got to justify their salaries. http://www.hl.co.uk/about-us/hl-refresh Got a feeling that like most "improvements" this is going to be horrible. No doubt the website will be aimed at mobile devices - like the awful Fidelity upgrade.

Scottish Friendly - Can only pay by cheque!
I just called to make a payment to my S&S ISA, as I've been told previously by Scottish Friendly I could do. The person I spoke to said that was impossible, I would have to post them a cheque. I queried this, saying I had been previously told I could do this and it was one of the reasons I chose them. She then admitted I…
