Club Lloyds account
Does anyone know when interest starts being paid? Is it from account opening or once one has deposited £1500 and paid 2 direct debits from the account? Switched mine to club Lloyds yesterday and need to decide when to transfer the 5k to it.

BM Savings - why payments in via Linked Acct, not direct payment?
I've just opened a BM Savings Account (took a month to sort out, but that's another story, ho hum...) Now I have all the details I've discovered that ALL the payments in seem to need to go via the 'Linked Account' and will take 3 days to show. HOWEVER they have sent me the details of the account - sort code/ acct number…

First time investing
Starting to get older and thinking about investing/saving some money, i've never really done much with this side of money before so am starting from scratch. In everyones opinions, if I am looking to invest £50-£100pm, what would be the best option for maximum return? Looking long term, not after a quick cash out, not too…

Need advice on Ratesetter 5 year investment please
Hi folks, I'd really appreciate it if someone who uses Ratesetter or possibly other Peer to Peer schemes out there can enlighten me. I am thinking about putting £6000 into Ratesetter and lending it out on a five year basis at 5.9 %. However, if I understand correctly (and I do find this rather confusing), it seems that…

Company shares?
My husband is about to be given £1,000.00 worth of shares when the company he works for floats. He is allowed to sell these straight away but we would like to know does he have to pay any sort of tax when he sells them, he's a higher rate tax payer. Thank you. Susan

Advice, overpayment vs debt repayment vs ISA
Hi All and thankyou in advance, Looking for some advice, I am currently paying back a family member £500 a month, on a debt of about £35k. I am not paying any interest on this and won't be for the next year. I wondered if shifting this money (which wouldn't be a problem) from paying this back to either overpay on my…

Savings Accounts
Recently I spotted an article on MSE which made mention of a company who sourced various savings accounts for you and advised when to move you money into them. Apparently they also provided you with access via the internet so you could monitor these accounts, all for an annual fee, which, I think was 2% of the whole…

Where to save/invest?
I'm a young adult who has managed to save an extra ~£10,000 over the years and looking to invest or save somewhere that's not an ISA (already hit my limits). This is money, which I won't need for few years potentially. Looking for safe investments/stocks ideally if going that route. I don't mind having ago at things such…

Bank offering linked accounts
I'm currently banking with Intelligent Finance but their rates are appalling and even they are recommending that I find a new bank! The reason that I've stayed with them is because they offer the ability to manage all of my accounts within what they call a "plan". The setup I've got is a plan containing a current account…

Cavendish online charges information
Just wanted to point out that the information on the stocks & shares ISA page on MSElooks as if it needs updating: When you read the T&C document before investing in ISA or OEIC, it states there is a £45 annual management fee , in addition to the 0.25% annual platform fee. Or did I misunderstand something?

Direct Debits for Santander 123
Hi All I have signed up for this account now but I do not fancy actually putting my actual bills on there using DD. I read some bits about people using some workarounds with cheap DDs that pay out from santander into another account they own. Would that be better as they told me in the bank i get cashback on bills through…

I signed up for a santander 123 account thinking that was the best interest but I started then reading about other accounts offering 7%. I have a lump sum basically i'm expecting from a share sale and I want…
