How to invest £10,000
Hi there, I've got a 10,000 in a high street savings account. Some background: I've just bought an ex-local authority flat in central London, and I feel I need a financial cushion in case any works are done to the block, in which case I could be charged (there is nothing pending for at least the next 12 months). I'd quite…

£40k over 10 years
Hi My kids have inherited about £40k, but it isn't for their use for another 10-15 years. I want it to bring an annual income in for school trips and so on, rather than see the capital increase in that time. Not sure on whether just to find a good savings account, or do something clever with bonds or investment funds or…

Tax on Childs Savings Interest
Hi, I've just recently set up a savings account for my 6 month old niece. Critique My Fund Portfolio
Funds Aberdeen Emerging Markets 20% First State Emerging Markets 20% These two make up 40% of the portfolio because I believe emerging markets still have a lot to offer. I picked both over one or the other because I like the sector allocation when they are combined more than I like either of them individually. M&G Global…

Cambridge RPI linked bond
Would you consider this bond better than the 1 with NS&I? It may not be for tax payers but what about non tax payers? The way I see it, is the RPI would be the same for both but the cambridge 1 pays 1% on top of RPI. Be glad for anyone's opinion. http://www.cambridgebs.co.uk/savings/bonds/inflation-bond-lovemoney
