hi, Ive had my Cavalier King Charles puppy for 5 weeks now and weve had terrible problems with her stomach. She constantly had the runs and is now on a strict wheat free diet after various appointments at the vets. Problem is this. Hello everyone, it never rains but it pours in my house. To cut a very very long story short we have a greengage tree that has hundreds and i mean hundreds on wasps and hover flies eating all the fruit. I have been told there is nothing i can do but let nature take it's course. It seems the cats are aware of the danger…

Putting a kitten harness on ....
Help! Our little boy kitten is now 13 weeks old, he's just had his 2nd innoculation, and can now go outside, supervised, in our back garden. He won't be neutered until he's around 6 months, so we don't want him disappearing until at least then, but we don't expect him to be an indoors cat either. He doesn't wear a collar,…

2 dogs: Company for eachother or extra destruction?
We are very tentatively thinking about getting a puppy as I may be unable to work for a long period while I wait for a work permit. We would like a dog eventually and this seems like it would be a sensible time whilst I can stay at home with it and look after it whilst it settles in. Eventually it may be on its own for up…

Any French Bulldog owners?
Hi We have today taken on a 2 1/2 year old Frenchie - she is lovely. We have her papers and are waiting on the vets notes (in the post). I am convinced she is from a loving home who simply couldn't find the time for her (due to a change in circumstances). My family have had pugs, so I am used to this type of dog and the…

I've developed a product but need some opinions
I've spent a few months at the end of last year developing a product and then I left it due to some negative comments from a family member. I've decided to go back to the idea now and wondered if more unbiased people could give me their opinions. It's a product for aquariums - mainly terrapins. It also has uses for plant…

No Mess Cat Litter - Does It Exist?
I have five cats, and six litter trays. Used to use granules (non clumping) but they went everywhere. Changed to wood pellets. Fine to start with but when they get wet (all trays are cleared of solids and wet areas several times a day) they disintegrate and the powder gets walked everywhere. Does anyone know of a cat…

Please help - Separation Anxiety
Hi, really need some help and advice on our 9 month old Daschund. We've had him 2 months, we got him from a lady who was going back to work full time so wanted to find new owners. She had bought him a cage, but said she rarely used it as normally there was someone in the house. Since we've had him, each time we've gone out…

Hi all My girl is in season (yet again)...and apart from the usual problems including having an intact dog in the next room, I have found that she always seems to lose bladder control. Normally she is very clean and house trained but when the dreaded season starts, she pees everywhere?? Does anyone elses dog do the same???

*Update* Need to find a warm home and comfortable lap for 18 year old cat. Any ideas?
My family are in a really sad situation, in that my Grandmother desperately needs to go into a nursing home. A room has come up at a lovely home and she has to make a decision by friday. She is reluctant to go, mainly because she has a very old cat and since my Grandad died, he is her only full time company. Everyone in…

Becoming a dog walker?
For some time now I've been thinking about offering my services as a dog walker. I've been around dogs my whole life and currently have a great dane of my own. I understand that there are a few people locally who offer a service, and I would have to work extremely hard to compete with them at all. I'm guessing advertising…

Dog attacks the cats when I tell the cats off??
Sometimes, the cats will jump on the sofa and then try and drink my tea, or like has just happened, Ive been eating cereal and the emptyish bowl is next to the sofa and the cat has just jumped up to try and lick the bowl out. Alternative to lampshade collar
Hi guys :) Our little man (16 month old Westie) was neutered today. We picked him and as he was starting to lick the wound, the nurse put a 'lampshade' collar on (which incidently was quite expensive - would have thought it would have been included in the price of the op?) As soon as we were in the car park he pulled it on…

Aggh my heart is breaking with my little dog following his attack. Any advice?
Guys You may remember me posting last week that Muttley, our little rescue dog got attacked by a Staffy. While his leg is healing well Im not sure the same can be said for the rest of him. He has gone from being the most loveable, pleasant little man to being withdrawn and a little snappy. Now when I say snappy he has…
