Transferring Pensions Questions
Like a lot of people I have multiple pensions. Looking to transfer an under-performing one to my current pension so that all the funds are in one place. The pension advisor at my new provider says he can do this for me at a cost of 2% fee taken from my pot, does that sound about right?

Partial retirement Civil Service
Question about Partial Retirement from Civil Service Classic. I understand what partial retirement is but my question is does taking it affect the Annual Allowance in terms of being able to contribute to a separate SIPP? Or does that only happen when you stop work entirely?

New to pension would like opinion plse xx
Hi there. I have a pension with Aviva of £33k. It's been stagnant and I've met an ifa to discuss options. They recommended Royal London, it would be 4.00 charge on the pot ie fee and 0.7 percent thereafter. I know nothing about pensions so wanted to know if the fee seems a lot and as for the company I've not heard of them…

I am 56 and do not now work, but have some investments. My income is just below the personal allowance. I am thinking…

Trivial commutation tax after death
Hi, My Dad passed away earlier this year (86) and my mum (80) has inherited his navy pension, which she has taken as a lump sum. However, the pension provider has taken off a huge chunk of tax- they say they have an arrangement with HMRC to do this seemingly as a matter of course. The P53 income tax reclaim form - says a…

I would be grateful for advice on what I should do to consolidate my pension pot. I do not intend withdrawing any pension funds until I reach age 65 (in 7 years) but would like the full range of options to be available when I do so (flexi-access drawdown, ad hoc cash withdrawals, annuity purchase, or a mixture). I no…

Taking pension while working
As a way to slowly give up work I have decided to go part time before retiring completely. I am continuing to pay into the company Defined contribution scheme. Recommend me a pension with lower charges
I currently have £135000 in my current pension but the charges seem quite high. I've chosen the funds myself and the advisor who set it up doesn't really help. I'm with Friends Life at the moment. Most of the funds show a .75% on my annual statement but not sure if there are additional charges. I've asked but not heard…
