Two tickets for the people in here. Both concern civil penalty charge notices. If anyone has had any experience of one or both of these please feel free to comment and help another citizen! 1st Ticket 1) If someone from abroad comes and drives one's car and picks up a ticket, is the driver still liable for the costs and…

UKCPS gibberish signs
Pranky has now blogged about UKCPS' useless signage, with the case he was involved in being a particularly egregious example of idiocy. But, from what I've seen of examples posted on PePiPoo, UKCPS' signs are routinely fatally flawed. If anyone involved in a disabled-space-without-a-blue-badge case (a UKCPS favourite)…

PARKING EYE ltd,... Again.
Hi everyone , "long time reader, first time writer.. " I received a letter for a supposed parking violation Last month, for apparently using a parking eye car park in Stockton without paying for a ticket. Now this was at 22:21 on a Friday night, the car park was empty when I drove in, I appreciate it's a payable car park…

CCTV for Enforcement
How does being sent a Parking invoice following being monitored on CCTV fall under the POFA? As far as I can see unless a notice is affixed to the vehicle or handed to the driver then there is no way to enforce against the RK. Or am I missing something?

Parking Charge Notice - Adam Street Cardiff (Vinci) POPLA APPEAL?
Hello, I parked at Adam Street (Cardiff) 'pay and display' car park last week and paid to park for 24 hours. On returning to my car 6 hours later, I notice I had a Parking Charge Notice stuck to my windscreen for £100 for breach code 01 - parking without displaying a valid payment. Shocked I looked for the ticket on my…

PPC ignored appeal by email and claims we haven't contacted them
My partner and I each got a PCN from Parking Solutions 24. We both used the template to appeal by the stated email on the NtK - appeals@paymypcn.net. This was on May 9th. Since then there has been no acknowledgement by email or post by PS24 that we have appealed. Two weeks ago we had a letter in the post claiming they…

Success against Premier Parking Solutions
I’d like to say a THANK YOU to the very wise regular MSE posters on this forum. Using advice on this forum and adapting some of the templates posted by forum contributors, together with tips on how to approach the matter, I was able to provide a counter argument and successfully challenge against a parking notice issued to…

Car Parking Partnership unethical
On a visit to the Emergency Department at Hammersmith Hospital I got issued with a CPN for parking next to an out order ticket machine. I appealed quite quickly but I have had no response not even an acknowledgement. They give you 14 days to make a discounted payment of £50 and 28 days to pay the full amount of £100…

Fake PCN For Parking In Visitor Space (IPC Company) (UPDATE: IAS Appeal Rejected)
Hi there all, As keeper of a vehicle, I have received a NTK (or Reminder Notice) from a company called LinkParking (an IPC accredited company.) The driver was parked in a space clearly marked 'visitor', which to me clearly overrides any other signs present. How on earth can it be a reasonable requirement for a visitor to…

Successfully appealed parking penalty
Dalglishlegend. My wife also recently received a parking penalty notice at Central Retail Park in Wrexham and has appealed successfully to Popla (Parking on Private Land Appeals) on the basis there was insufficient signage there, warning of the conditions, penalty etc. She submitted pictures showing large areas of the car…

Court found in my favour
Last Wednesday I was taken to court by UKCPS for not paying £100 fine, for parking in the wrong place in a free car park. I hadn't paid the fine (the amount of which kept altering) because I felt very strongly that it was unreasonable to demand so much money when I was not aware of having done anything wrong. Before we…

ParkingEye Online Appeal
On ParkingEye's online appeal page there is a limit of 3000 characters for appeal reason. I customised the text to fit in that limit, pasted below for benefit of others.
