FAIR FX left us Stranded
Don't touch FairFX with a barge pole, especially if you are going to remote locations. They claim the cards work anywhere that a Mastercard works, WRONG!!! We were a group of 25 Scouts on an expedition to Tanzania. The six leaders each took out Anywhere cards (after seeing it recommended on MSE). Loaded each card with £750…

Do reliable online accommodation booking sites exist?
I'm exploring the murky world of online accommodation booking and not having much fun. On Sunday we attempted to book an apartment in Madeira via homeaway.co.uk. Paris and Venice When to go
To help my son with his French we are thinking of going to Paris next year. Either Easter,February or October half term. I think Easter might be more expensive as the French don't have half term but I could be wrong. Any ideas about which of there is best? We are also thinking of Venice 2017 and the same question applies.

Bookassist charges
Hi I've booked a hotel in Madrid via the hotel's own site, and been charged the agreed amount, plus £25 'bookassist' charges? There's no mention of these on the original booking, and I thought they'd be absorbed by the hotel rather than the customer?
