Bought dodgy used car from “trader”. Do we have any comeback?
Over the weekend my partner bought a used car listed on Autotrader supposedly from a trade seller (as opposed to private). When we went to look the car, we met the lady at the postcode we were given, but this was not her specific address, she came and found us where we were parked. She said her husband was in the trade and…

ExH left his car in my garage
My exH moved out 6 months ago. We are divorced and I have bought him out. His car is still in my garage, and I don't have a key. Even if I did I believe the steering lock is engaged, and as it's in a garage block even if I got in to the car I couldn't steer it to move it out any further than just outside the entrance. I…

Selling my BMW X6 but very old warning light
My BMW X5 has had an engine warning light on since we bought it 6 years ago from a friend. She bought it from new and she had it checked but no-one could find the fault. We got a good deal from her when we bought it and so we took it on good faith and it's been a brilliant runner. It's now got 67k on the clock and is quite…

BMW 320d vibration and worse when pressing clutch
I wonder if anybody can shed any light on my issue please. I have just noticed a bad vibration where the whole car seems to shake when pressing the clutch, even when at idle. I thought it might be a misfire at first, as I first noticed it when changing gear. As soon as the clutch was pressed and the revs dropped, the…

Blocked in by driver - should I have parked there?
I parked on a quiet "cul-de-sac" (public road) that leads onto a park before, no yellow lines or council signs saying no parking. It's not where I usually park but was happy to find it as the route at the main entrance involves taking a route walking by overgrown bushes and last time a man walking in front drinking…

We were using Castrol Edge @ about £75 or £80 per change, is there much difference in using a cheaper…

PCP Question
Hi, Just been to look at a lovely little Fiat 500 for the missus. The dealer said that if the PCP was taken over 4 years to reduce the payments then it would be no problem to trade in the car after two years with no financial penalty. It sounds a bit too good to be true, Is it legit or am I missing something.

BMW X1 and battery conditioner
I've a CTEK battery conditioner with the cigarette lighter attachment, not the battery connectors. I want to use it with a 2013 X1. I thought I could just plug it into the power socket in the boot, or at least one that doesn't need the ignition on to give it power, but BMW say it should be connected direct to the battery.…

I have a Ford Ka and a few months back brought a dash cam. However, after several attempts I had to give up on using it, as it kept either blowing the cigarette lighter fuse or just not charging. I tried it in my dad's car and it worked fine, it was also ok when on charge at home. Does anybody know of any dash cams that…
