It has a £2500 limit but i only spend around £30 a month on it and i pay it off every month, Ive had it for around 20 months. Thanks

Tricky Interest Only Conundrum!
Thank you for taking the time to read this post. My partners' parents bought a flat for him which is paid for outright however his parents have taken out a 10yr interest only mortgage for £60k on their own property to do this and no one is saving for the capital which means the flat would need to be sold to pay of the £60k…

Sell shares to pay off endowment shortfall?
We have an £89k mortgage shortfall. We can extend to pay it off, or sell some shares. We're both 55, I work part time and my wife full time. Our repayments would be around £700 a month, so it seems logical to me to pay the mortgage, especially as interest rates could go up. Our shares are a retirement nest-egg though, so…

Overpaying mortgage
Given that a problem with the UKs economy is the level of public and private debt, why do mortgage lenders discourage overpayments? Most set a 10% limit. Surely the earlier people can pay off their mortgage the better. It may well encourage them to sell and buy a bigger house and therefore stimulate the housing market.…
