Variable rate mortgage
Say you where to take a mortgage out with a variable rate of 4.09% + base rate. That means it would be 4.59% atm. Does that mean if the base rate say goes back up to 5% then their repayments will be based on 5% + 4.09% = 9.09%? It makes you think doesnt it.
