Hi Hope someone can help us out here. We have a mortgage with Mansfield BS at 5.5% fixed til sept 09. Balance as of today £89,749,86 which includes a penalty of £3,750.00 if we move our mortgage, What with all the cuts at the moment we are really trying to tighten out bels as our mortage payment are £100.37 a month! ouch…

5% collar, is there anything i can do?
hi all, i have just checked the small print of a recently taken out (last week) btl tracker mortgage with the abbey, and am horrified to discover it has a 5% collar.:eek: i was not advised of this by the broker, but it is there in the paperwork, is there anything i can do at all about this? :o :confused: thank you, gg xx

There is no mention of a collar in my mortgage offer, special condions or the standard conditions od my Birmingham mIdshires tracker mortgage so I am wondering if it will be be 'collar safe'?
