Shared ownership with housing association and 100% mortgage - where do I stand?
Hi All, My mum is trying to buy a property through a housing association where she buys 30% (approx) of the property. She has no savings so needs a 100% mortgage for the 30% share she is buying (approx £35,000). The problem is that most banks (a) wont do a mortgage for a shared ownership house and (b) wont do 100%…
'New customers only'- Halifax
Just phoned up the Halifax to find out about a 4.79% rate and was told it was for 'new customers only'. I am already with them but was interested in remortgaging to the lower rate-so much for looking after their existing customers! Does anyone know of a lender with has a better rate or have any suggestions?
Advice on 25K mortgage....
My 3.49% fixed rate is about to end shortly with A & L. It's gonna cost me £290 in exit fees. Have 9 years left to pay. 1. Is it worth re-mortaging? 2. Any1 know what A & L are like when it comes to getting a 'good deal' for existing customers?

anyone noticed their endowment policy picking up of late just had mine valued and its showing a substantial gain on two years ago . ive got 3 policy's all taken out 10 or more years ago with scot am ... now prudential , just to give you an idea of recent gains in the last two years the money paid in has more than doubled…

I took out an endownment 10 years ago for my house. I pay 41.20 over 20 years. The total value as at 25 May 2005 is 4,413.12 The plan is supposed to pay out 16,150. Currently ion a variable mortgage 5.99% which just over 13 years left to pay at £272 a month.
