Transferring funds from Santander ISA to 123 account
I have over £3000 in a Santander cash ISA and also have a Santander 123 current account. As I understand it if I transfer the ISA balance into the 123 current account I will get 3% gross (2.4% after tax) which is a better deal than new tax year ISA offerings unless I commit to a longer term ISA deal, i.e. > 1 year, which I…

Santander ISA Saver (for maturing ISAs)
Can anyone confirm that the interest rates shown in the PDF below are current? 2% for balances of at least £25000 would be the best instant access ISA by a mile.…

ISA query
Apologies in advance, I have tried searching but I'm still confused. I currently have an instant access ISA but I'm also thinking that it'd be best to open one where I can't access the cash. Can I continue to keep my current ISA & pay into, but open a fixed term ISA and pay into that also? I think the answer is no but want…

Best S&S ISA now for later transfer to cash ISA?
I want to open an S&S ISA asap and before Apr 6th 2014 to maximise my ISA allowance for 2013-14, with a view to transferring it into a cash ISA asap after Apr 6th 2014. Unchartered territory for me, so I would really appreciate good advice: 1. What are the best low/medium - risk 2013/14 S&S ISA options in terms of charges,…

Hey peeps, I have £9.5k in an ISA. I would be grateful for any support and advice regarding the best type of account I should place this amount into? If all goes well I am planning on saving an additional 1-3k between 2014/2015..... I have had an ISA for several years and am fortunate that I have never dipped into it.... I…

Instant Access Cash ISA: Santander vs MetroBank
Hi, I was reading the ISA article and was wondering if Metrobank's ISA (metrobank is just more convenient to transfer the money) is worse in any subject than Santander's Santander: Rate: 1.6% AER variable Min deposit: £500 Interest paid: Annually Allows previous ISA transfers? Yes Access: Online/phone/branch Can I open it…

Santander ISA Transfer
Originally the T&Cs of the 2 year fixed rate ISA from Santander stated that deposits for 2014/15 and internal transfers from existing Santander ISAs must be made by 31st May. With the new NISA limit of £15000 coming in on 1st July, they've extended the deadline for 2014/15 deposits to 31st August (although the PDF…

Virgin FTSE All-Share Tracker ISA - Investing advice needed
Hi everyone. I have been looking at these investment ISA's for a while now and wanted to try one. I have a separate ISA account. Basically I understand that my initial investment may not be the total amount I get back. What I'm struggling to understand is if I invest say £10, what happens if this figure goes down? Will it…

Confused about ISA - benefit of paying in at the end of the tax year?Savings account?
Is there any benefit to paying money in up to my full allowance now, less than a week before the new tax year, or would it really just be so that I can transfer it into a new ISA next year rather than paying it in? Also, would there be any benefit to opening a high interest savings account (which, tbh, I think I'd end up…

Santander 2YR Fixed Isa
My ISA is due to mature on 1 May 2014. However in view of the current offer of 2.3% ISA to 123 customers, of which I'm one, my feeling is that I should not wait until maturity to upgrade and go for it now in case they pull the 123 offer. Any thought please? Thanks.

to ISA or not?
I am sure the question has been asked million times! I am fairly new in the UK so not sure I get this ISA account yet... If I am holding just cash (say saving for a house deposit) should I put it in an ISA account while it accrues interests?

So confused about ISAs + need recommendations.
Ehhh I have a few questions about ISAs (I'm only 18 and I'm still confused as hell haha) I'm jus so confused in general: 1) With a 'fixed rate' (e.g. 1 year) ISA, after the 1 year rate is over then are you allowed to withdraw however much you want without a penalty? 2) Are there any fixed rate accounts in which you can…

Halifax 18th Mth fixed isa 2% ish
Thought this looked ok, then noticed only can transfer money in after 60 days opening. I can live with that as wouldn't transfer till early May, allowing me to take advantage of the additional isa limit which comes in on 1st July. But does anyone know if you can deposit more funds next April 2015, or would the 18mth term…

ISA push or pull?
I have transferred many ISAs over the last few years but am just querying that with the existing old ISA already set up and the new one setup but not financed, is it possible to choose to either push money from the old to the new and/or pull it from the new to the old? I ask this as both Tesco (new) and NatWest (old) seem…

isa confusion
Hi I have an ISA with Virgin this year and am currently paying a small sum each month via direct debit, if I continue to do this into the same ISA in next years term will this count as paying into a new isa and stop me from opening or transferring to another if this current rate drops. Can you only pay into one isa each…

ISA Questions - Confussed!
OK. So I thought I understood the ISA rules, but now I'm more than a little confused! If you already have a cash ISA open from last year, are you able to put the full £5,760 into the same ISA on 6th April and then put an additional £9,240 on July 1st? If not, then would I be correct in assuming that you will be able to do…
