Transferring old + new ISA money
I have an ISA which I opened in the 2010/11 tax year which contains money I have paid in in the current and previous tax years. The bonus rate just ended (it's a Halifax Reward ISA) and I was paid the interest on the anniversary of opening the account. I'm looking to transfer to get a better rate, possible the M&S 3% one…

ISA help
Hi Quite new to the ISA world and even the cake user guide didn't really clarify it for me (sorry) I've just applied for an ISA account and intend to put £700 each month for 12 months and then withdraw the funds so I collect the AER and the bonus. However I'm confused by the financial year. Currently the account I have set…

S&S ISA and new tax year
As we're approaching the end of the tax year, I'm just wondering whether I need to do anything with my S&S ISA. It's the first year I've had one, so please excuse my ignorance. With my cash ISAs, I start a new one in the new tax year (wherever has the best rate for current year cash ISAs), and move the old one(s) to…

Alliance Trust. Is £12.50 for a purchase/sale £25 for a transfer between funds?
Simple question that I am hoping for an answer to before tomorrow. I have been comparing the discount ISA providers, Best, Alliance, HL etc and am finding the charges difficult to understand. Where a charge is made for a purchase/sale - Alliance trust charge £12.50 for example - does that mean that a fund transfer is £25,…

Hi, me and my girlfriend are looking for advice on the best account to open for us both to save money together in a joint account. Thinking of transfering to HL Vantage A/c Help please
I currently have my S&S ISAS held with an IFA who of course gets initial commission and trail commission. I have just discovered the Hargreaves & Lansdowne Vantage service. Do you have any knowledge of this and do you recommend it? could you give me the pros and cons. It appears that the initial commission is vastly…

X-o isa
I've decided to sign up to X-O to buy some UK shares through an ISA. Filling out the form I've got to: Is this the amount I want to put into my account today, for example £1000? Or do I put £10,680 as a limit?

ISA for dummies? Help pls...
Ok guys, I've did a little reading but alot of this caper seems to go over my head - so i figured i might as well ask my questions directly: 1) If i have the full £5,340 in an normal savings account right now and i transfer it to an ISA - i'll get my % interest paid between now and April 2012. I take that as a basic, yes?…

Sorry for being stupid but.....
Just had a letter from the Halifax saying as of 28/02/12 my ISA direct reward will come to an end and revert to ISA saver direct, which will obviously be much lower interest. When I get my interest ( I presume in April ??) will it be at the higher rate or the lower rate and if I was to transfer to another ISA elsewhere…

When can I transfer my ISA?
Hi all :) 2 questions really and I apologise if I don't explain it too well! I opened a Halifax ISA last year tax year 2010/11 (2.8% + 0.2% bonus) and put the max allowed amount in it. I then opened another Halifax ISA for this year but haven't made any deposits to it - when I opened it the rate was similar to my 'old' one…

Krbs isa
I came across this on the Which? website after googling for the best fixed rate ISA. Their 5 year fixed rate is a very nice 4.35%. I cannot fathom out who they are, though. My initial assumption was Kent Reliance Building Society, but the website only mentions the building society as something from the past! They…

Barclays ISA, 2012
Is Barclays going to release a new ISA? This year like a golden ISA. need to deposit money this tax year soon. I fancy Barclays ISA as I believe you can offset golden ISA against future offset mortgage ( thinking of moving mortgage soon). If not I can add to issue 1 or 2 anyway circa 2%+ anyway after the discount period!…
