Transferring a new isa
I have an isa taken out for this year. It was opened after the april deadline and I've now filled it up. I originally opened it because it was the best about in a pretty rubbish market for ISAs. Can I transfer it somewhere else, even though it's still in its first year? It was with Intelligent Finance.

is there even any point to an ISA??
I've been putting money into a Cash ISA with Natwest, just because I thought it was the smart thing to do.. but today I checked my account to see that my £16,000 is earning less than 2.00% interest! I can make twice that rate in a 2 year fixed rate bond.. is there any reason to continue with my ISA, or should I close it…

IF reduce rate... not happy!
Maybe i'm being unfair here, but would be interested to hear other people's opinions: Dear Sir / Madam I have today received a letter from yourselves regarding the rate reduction on my cash ISA. As a result I wanted to express my disgust at the way you operate. My issues are two fold: 1. Today is 19th October 2009. The…

Are tax free friendly society accounts worth using?
I have been sent a promotional leaflet by a friendly society about a regular tax-free savings account. Basically I can pay in up to £25 a month tax free for a minimum of ten years in addition to my ISA tax free allowance. Only trouble is I haven't come across these accounts before and can find much advice on this website…

I don't pay UK tax - Is an ISA still the best savings account for me?
Hi everyone! I have been a subcriber to the weekly e-mails for years now, but this is my first forum post... I don't live in the UK any more and am therefore not earning UK wages or paying UK tax.
