Non Fault insurance claim with Aviva
Can anyone give advice with regards to a claim we are making to Aviva as their insured left a battery charger on and linked to a VW van which caused a blaze? They will not pay our claim unless we have evidence that their insured was at fault. The insured has admitted he was at fault by leaving it charging unattended but…

Has anyone claimed on PPI insurance when being made redundent?
and if you did how many months claims did you collect? Did Jobseekers allowence allow you to claim more than 2 payments after your initial 30 day waiting period? Did Jobseekers advise you that you should take a less paid job after 13 weeks? This is based on PPI allowing up to 12 months of redundency payments or until you…

Car Insurance Advice
I told my friend I want to buy her car. It's a 06 1.2 Polo and she's selling it to me for a good price. I'm 25 years old. I failed my first test so my second test is in 3 weeks. Her insurance runs out next week. So I said I'd buy the car and get learner insurance and get my dad as additional. In being quoted for learner at…

Car Insurance NCD Problem
Hey, My girlfriend has been with Direct Line now for just over 4 years without a single accident/claim, but just over a year ago the car she had became uneconomical to repair, so she scrapped it, called Direct Line and explained to them about what happened and they cancelled the insurance (with around a £20 fee), 2 months…

Question regarding pre existing med condition
I'm just about to buy travel insurance, but I suppose the question applies to all kinds of personal insurance. The question is if I was treated (successfully!) for a medical condition, hepatitis C, three years ago, do I still have to declare it? Even though I DO NOT have the condition, nor am I affected by it in any way at…

Problem getting new home insurance - Egg!
Hi Everyone I bought my house in 1999, and shortly afterwards discovered a crack in the rear of the extension. I got the insurer (Egg) involved and it was all sorted out (drain needed to be repaired), no recurring problems and all has been well since. Last week Egg sends me a letter out of the blue saying they were getting…

Quidco - Aviva car insurance payment link fails
I'm using Quidco to get a cash back on Aviva car insurance. Once through to Aviva's site, the payment authorisation fails no matter what type of card I use. Aviva say it must be a card issuer problem (which it's not). Quidco have said this is purely down to Aviva (which I expect it is). Anyone else having the same problem?

Axa - not unfair charging for changes
Well not quite, but good enough, change of car on the insurance, no service charges, but the annual premium has doubled to what I could expect to pay if I took out a new policy. I did reduce the excess however. Only a month left, so it's only £20 to pay on the premium though. Checking my other car policy with them, it's…
