Neighbour using my garden as storage
Could I apologise in advance if this is in the wrong category but I don't use forums much. I wonder if someone can offer me a legal answer to my question. If a neighbour chains and padlocks something in my garden and to my fence am I legally allowed to remove such item even if it results in damage to the chain or padlock?

Cost of installing mid-height shower
Hi, my partner and I have put down a deposit on a shared ownership affordable property. Strangely, the bath will only come with a mixer tap shower, not a proper mid-height shower. I have asked the housing association if it is possible we could have one installed now as the property is still being built. They have come back…

Move Electricity Meter?
Hi all, I'm getting my house refurbished and the Electricity meter is currently located above where my new hob will go (and where my old hob was.) Dodgy Builder!
Hi everyone, We had a garage conversion done on the house, in which the builder took care of arranging Building Control visits...etc. depending on when he was there. A quick neighbour question
I hope this is in the right section. But I am completely clueless about drainage & can't seem to find an answer from Google. My neighbour has recently built a large extension up to the boundary line, with the downpipes at the side too. These encroach onto our side, buy a small amount but that's a whole other thing. Some of…

How quickly/frequently do the seals on double glazing units tend to fail?
We installed double glazing for the first time 3.5 years ago. We have 8 windows, but with 21 separate units. Called the double glazing company and they replaced the unit a…

Insurance backed guarantee
Is it possible for me to get an insurance-backed guarantee for plumbing work? I've tried phoning a couple of insurance companies that came up on a google search, and they only deal with Ltd companies, not sole traders. Does anyone know of an insurance-backed guarantee scheme that will deal with sole traders?

Are plumbers usually so... flakey?

Basically replacing 2 radiators with contemporary ones and chasing the exposed heating pipework into the walls. All three have visited, seemed very professional and polite, asked questions and been generally…
