Neighbours garden/fence presenting a danger
The house behind ours is rented out and the tenants or landlord are not keen on maintenance. The problem is the garden is quite overgrown and the fence (which is theirs) is starting to fall down. I realise there is not normally much that can be done about this but there are some very prickly brambles now growing into my…

Bleeding Radiators with a Hot Water Cylinder
Previously, I've been able to bleed radiators, then open a valve under the boiler and add more water to the system. Lovely. Now I live in a house with a hot water tank cylinder and a cold water tank above it in the loft. There are no dials anywhere on the boiler or tank. If I bleed the radiators, will the system just add…

Low Hot Water Pressure in Bathroom
Our upstairs bathroom has the hot water tank in it. However the basin tap and shower both have fairly low pressure. I can open the tap quite far and it'll come out at a good pace but the shower is little more than a trickle. Anything I should look at in particular? Unfortunately the shower is plumbed straight into the wall…

Repairing white-good recommendations
Hi, My Hotpoint washer dryer has developed a leak and I'd like to get it repaired. It has broken before and I've previously used hotpointservice.co.uk to fix it, I had no particular issue with their service but I expect there might be cheaper options. I'm based in Sandhurst if people have local instead of nationwide…

Neighbour insisting on invading privacy?
Hello, Long story short. Neighbour objected to me doing work on a hedge on their boundary and in particular a tree within the hedge. We're in a conservation area so they added stipulations like using a professional and they complained when we maintained the work after the permission expired. Really petty things. We then…

The hot water works, but the time programmer does not seem to send the signal to the boiler to heat the radiators. Nor is there a manual switch for the heating.
