MFI bedrooms..... Alternative
Hello We were planning on ordering some fitted bedroom furniture from MFI after xmas, however although its still trading at the moment it doesn't look like it will for much longer, and i am not sure it would be sensible to order something from them at the moment. Therefore I was wondering who would be a suitable…

Bought a new TV but ...
I've always hovered and looked around the forums but this is my first post so want to apologise in advance if I've put this in the wrong place. Oven help please!!
I have a 10 year old AEG double oven that came with the house we bought in May of this year. Recently I have noticed things taking longer to cook than I would normally expect-e.g oven chips recently took over half an hour at 220C -they used to only take 20 mins. This is in the main fan oven. I have noticed the food is very…

Elderly boiler - is it dying?
My boiler is 24 years old, and twice in the last couple of days the pilot light has gone out; it has never gone out in the five years I've been here. Is a pilot light going out significant? I knew the boiler was elderly... is this a sign that I should be ready to replace it? Thanks wb.

uPVC door mutli pooint lock issues
since we bought the house - we noticed an issue with the front door jamming... when you come to lock it, shut the door, lift up the handle which moves the multi point "locks" in place and you use the key to stop access. However on occasions when I try to lift up the handle to lock the multi point locks - it appears to jam.…

Tap Headgear problem? Hard to turn off tap
In our bathroom the hot tap has become quite hard to turn off, you really really have to tighten it to stop it dripping. I replaced the washer (1/2") on the tap and it seemed a little bit better for about a day or two. Then it was back to being really hard to turn off - or rather you have to tighten the tap to as far as it…

Replacing existing ceramic floor with porcelain tiles - complex kitchen!
I have been renovating my utility room which needed everything doing to it, so it has been slow progress! The utility room leads directly off the kitchen. Do you know what the term 'Lead Time' means?
Would appreciate it if you could quickly answer YES or NO to the poll question above! If you asked for a quote from a company and they told you that the lead time is 6 weeks, would you know exactly what they meant? Thanks! Once you've voted you can find the meaning here

Quick radiator / flow & return query
Of the two pipes that are either side of a radiator....which is the flow and which is the return? Is the flow the one that gets hot first? I have a fairly new rad put in by a useless plumber (everything he did leaked  ) and it's making a loud droning vibating kind of noise if the thermostatic head is on anything…
