Would a land agent be the answer ?
This is a post on behalf of my mum. She's got a small farm in Southern Ireland but lives here. There's a local builder/farmer who's hassling her about a lane on her land that he is allowed to use ( legal right of way ). Because he wants this lane to become an access to a large number of houses he's hassling/intimidating…

Want a new steam generator iron
My old steam generator iron has just packed up and I need to get a new one in the next day or so. Had the old Tefal one for about 5 years. Anyone know of any good offers at the moment? Understand Costco sell them. Is it worth joining just to buy an iron?

Digital Induction Hob
Just seen one of these on Ideal TV. Anyone got one? Unfortunately, the pans that I have aren't magnetic although they are stainless steel so it would mean me having to buy pans too to go with the hob. Are they worthwhile, say for a caravan. May be handy for my mam and dad to have and they also have the right pans too. Any…

Splade or Spork - where can I get one
No I haven't gone mad - this is a type of cutlery, knife, fork and spoon all in one. I bought some from Viners quite a few years ago, but I want some more. They are great, especially for things like shepherds pie! Haven't been able to find any anywhere - only plastic ones. Sometimes called party forks. Many thanks

Not quite the right place to post possibly but if I order a jacket from the US and want to avoid paying VAT and importation tax on it how should I go about it? If the item is wrapped up as "Gift" and "No Value" will it get through? I wouldn't want to buy someone a birthday present and have them have to pay tax on it!

Costco - Worth Joining? (merged thread)
Hi, I just wanted to ask anyone if they had had any experience with Costco. I have heard that it is very cheap, my friend said that he could get a PS2 for £200 with 5 games (very close to the time the PS2 was released). So I was wondering whether it was worth paying the £20 joining fee? i.e. Are there cheap electrical…
