Finding land
I'm looking to buy a small plot of land, less than an acre, without planning permission to pop a mobile home on as an art studio but I'm not sure how to go about this/ where to look. All I've found so far is large acreages with planning permission and thus huge pricetags, so any advice would be hugely welcome

I am in the process of finding a property but confused of the correct way of going about it. I have offered asking price and not been successful. I have offered then found problems so withdrew. We are first time buyers and had an offer £15k under asking price accepted on a house we really like (the house needs some new windows, new bathroom etc). The vendor however wants us to pay a £2000 deposit upfront which will only be refundable if: 1.) a single item on building survey exceeds £10K in repair. Or 2.) a single…

Solicitor not yet applied for HTB ISA
I’m due to exchange soon but my solicitor has said she will apply for the HTB ISA once we have a completion date. I was wondering if that’s common practice? I thought HTB ISA should be applied for before exchange

Co-own a house with my ex-gf - 'moving new gf in' questions
Hi all, slightly unusual situation so please bear with me! Me and my ex g/f (together 12 years) bought a house together 5 years ago. We split up 2 years ago and she moved out at this time and into a house with her new partner (whilst she didn't "cheat" on me, she definitely "set the ground work" until I overheard a…

Neighbours Petrol Pump
I had previously posted (lots of views, no comments) about a disused petrol pump on a neighbours property that had been flagged up in our environment survey as a contamination risk. Choosing removal co.
I'm in the process of getting removal quotes. We're not just trying to get the cheapest, but far more concerned about reliablity, competence and honesty. So far we have received one surprisingly low online quote (7 days after requesting it) from a local removal co. with good reviews but which is not affiliated to any…

Testing boiler as part of purchase
Hi all, I'm in the process of buying a house and following a home buyers report I decided to have the electrics and boiler looked at too, as they are not covered by the survey. I thought this was a completely normal thing to want to do, but it seems to be causing some confusion with the companies I've contacted for a quote…
