Making time of the essence
So completion date has been and gone. I'm considering instructing my solicitor to serve notice on the seller making time of the essence and then enforcing this through the courts (specific performance) if they still don't complete. Has anyone had any experience of doing this?

Why do estate agents do this?
My friend bought a house in my village for £280k back in 2007. The most optimistic Zoopla valuation for their property now is £330k and I think that's top-end. However, my friend is moving away and their house has just been put on the market for £425k . They have an "open house" this weekend and I'm extremely curious…

SPT Tenant - Serving Notice Early
I am currently a tenant in a property with a statutory periodic tenancy. I intend to move out around the beginning of September and relocate to another city to attend university. Subsidance? Who to consult?
Hi, We are in negotiations to possibly buy a house, it needs a lot of working doing which is fine, but my biggest concern is some cracks I have spotted.. It's a 3 bed 1940s semi. Why Has Nobody Made An Offer On My Property
My flat has been with EA for 3 weeks now, and they've had the keys for the last 2 weeks to conduct viewings. They've told me that quite a few people have viewed it, both private buyers and investors, but nobody has made an offer yet. It's the 10th cheapest out of 25 within a 1/4 mile area, and it's the largest in terms of…

Options for offer/buying before I sell?
With a growing family I've been toying with moving but hadn't yet committed to putting our house on the market - fortuitously (or not), a seldom-available house around the corner has come up and we're keen on this but not sure of the options, given our situation. Many properties in the area have been selling in under a…
