"Chain-Free" House, no longer chain free?!
So, I put in an offer for a house 6 weeks ago, it was accepted and then rejected as they'd had a higher offer from a previous viewer - I upped to the full asking price as a) it was still within my budget and b) I wanted the house enough and think it is worth it. Second offer was then agreed. I was told that the seller was…

Asking Price vs. Valuation
As a First Time buyer I am intrigued by how asking prices have remained at similar levels to last year where we are looking to buy in Kent, yet you read everywhere that house prices have gone down by x amount. Apart from the uphill struggle against vendor denial which you can't do much about, when (if at all) can you…

Tenants let down by 'extra' costs
The BBC report that extra costs can add be as much as £600 to the cost of renting. What is the experience of MSE's tenants and LLs? I let my property privately and there are NO extra costs passed to my tenant. Letting Agents charge the LL a percentage of the rental income - is this not enough to fund their needs? Link GG
