Your best cheapy products
OK here's mine: . Sainsburys Basics mushy peas. They are brilliant and even more so when they have dropped from 17p to 8p a can . Sainsburys Basics kidney beans - 18p and a staple in my cupboard (though did ran out of them last week) . Aldi's own Doritos dips - 69p and taste the same as the Doritos ones.

False economies
The other week I bought Morrison's own brand gravy, and have used it a few times but the gravy has always turned out lumpy and horrible. So I've had to chuck that and have gone back to Bisto. Which got me thinking...does anyone know of any own brand/cheap products which have turned out to be rubbish?

I went in to my local co-op yesterday to stock up on baby wipes ect on their buy one get two free offer and found this. Wykes Farm mature cheese £3.99 for 320g buy one get two free. Not sure if this is nationwide but I have been in 2 different shops in B'ham and both had the offer on.
