Can I check something about DCA's?
I have to see a client I have been supporting next week and have already been told that agencies are chasing him for more money. I know that he had an agreed, fairly minimal, although more than the £1, repayment amount and think that he may be struggling with this now. I know that they can be told to get stuffed on income…

Tuesday 28th June- what small DFW thing will you do today?
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when…

What to do with house on a DMP
Hi, I'm trying to decide whether or not it might be worth selling our house, to clear off our DMP. I recently contacted a few mortgage advisors, to see if there was ANY possibility of remortgaging on our current DMP, all of whom said: "no chance!" The generic answer seems to be sit with it, and wait until you get out the…

..arranged repayments of overdraft are now through their solicitors-is this common?
I had an account which was converted from a standard no interest student account (with an overdraft) to a standard current account, and as I still had the overdraft at that particular time (leaving a course halfway through due to health) they started to add interest charges. Since I could not repay the exact amounts they…

Which way to do this.
Hi, I had posted on the renting board about the fact that I am likely to get a CCJ in the next two months (already had paperwork. Worth paying off my Northern Rock(!) loan?
Settlement figure of £1010. 6 months remaining at £169.63 per month = a total of £1017. So I save a *WHOPPING* £7 paying back the loan early. I currently get 2.5% interest on that £1010 so over a 6mo period that's £12.50 in interest... So on this occasion I suspect that I'm better off leaving the loan as it is! :D Of…
