Barclaycard credit limit increase
I have a Barclaycard Platinum which I don't use very often (usually just when I travel on business), and it has a £2k limit. Out of the blue today I received a text from them... they have increased my limit to £5k. I don't have a problem with this - £2k is fine for a week or so (hotel, car hire, expenses etc) but for trips…

BA Amex - pleased with customer service
New card has just arrived and I've been pleased with the customer service so far. There were problems with the courier company who were supposed to deliver my card so I had to do a bit of chasing by phone to sort it out. Amex Platinum Cashback
I applied and got approved for the Amex Platinum Cashback credit card. I was surprised at the rather low credit limit though. It's the lowest I have ever been awarded (highest has been nearly 10k, average around 5k) in the last 6 years of CC applications/usage. Anyway, I appreciate Amex's great 5% cashback during the first…

Why is a business, faced with a sale / order, prepared to let that business walk out the door for the sake of a credit card fee? When faced with paying a surcharge for using my credit card as payment, I usualy refuse and go give the business to someone else who doesnt. Yet times are tough and businesses need all the custom…

Credit card freebies
Flybe cards give you free flights if you sign up for a card, and ongoing as you spend on them.....the big downside is they don't cover taxes and other charges, so you could end up paying almost as much as the ticket if you had purchased it online, especially if they have a cheap flight cost, so beware that this may…
