In credit, how do i get my £ back
Hello, thanks to this wonderful site, I am transfering balances as and when necessary. Saving me a huge amount on interest. Anyway, my lastest change, from Barclay card to Virgin. I paid min payment of £85 as wasn't sure when Virgin would credit barclay. Now my barclay card statement says i'm £85 in credit. I don't have a…

** Warning** Being a 'rate tart' can have it's downside.....
I've been careful, cleared all my debts, I have one loan and only one open credit card, with a zero balance. My mortgage offer is changing, so I began trawling the banks and building societies. I managed to get an immediate appointment with a mortgage person from X building society. we went through the necessary paperwork,…

Hi All, Applied and received a Sky Card with the 0% Interest & Purchase Options until March 2007 and a £3.5K Credit Limit not that high but not bad. Then received a letter from Sky Card which is administered by Barclaycard advising me as I was a good customer the Offer had been extended to July 2007 so well impressed and…

Flight rewards credit cards
Hi, I normally pay off my credit card in full each month and was therefore considering applying for a credit card which offers rewards. Myself and my partner would mostly use the cards for business therefore would not be interested in a cashback card. Ideally I was looking for flight or hotel rewards to use for our annual…

CC suggestion to Martin
I'd like to suggest to Martin that he makes a habit of saying which bank or institution, e.g. MBNA, RBS etc lies behind any Ccard that he mentions. For example I know it's not worth applying for any MBNA-backed card because they always turn me down. It takes some research to discover who's backing some new card.

Best SBT card and is it worth it?
Was just telling a mate about the new &More card I got the other day when I realised that with my credit limit I could easily transfer my current loan (£175.88 a month for 36 months = £6331.68) onto the 3.9% LOB. Firstly I was wondering whether or not this would be worthwhile as the loan is 5.9% so is already pretty cheap.…

Asda card gives money off
Asda give you 2p per litre off petrol if you use your Asda credit card to pay. The George stand-alone store in Manchester is offering a 5% reduction if you pay using an Asda card. This offer doesn't appear to be available for George purchases from Asda stores, but I assume that it's available from any other George stores.

Best cashback card?
That is not: Am Ex - not accepted in lots of the places I shop in Morgan Stanley - already have one as my joint credit card with hubbie Egg - cancelled the last one less than a year ago after they made a few errors GE Cap - they have messed me about big time over the cashback card. Can't be doing with their poor service.…

GM Mastercard £25 late payment fee refunded
Just thought I'd let you all know that I managed to get back a £25 late payment fee. I completely forgot about the bill, and then paid it three weeks late, and got a £25 fee. Thanks to all the comments on this fantastic site, I wrote a letter saying that I thought £25 was a bit harsh and as I have in the past always paid…

Successfully Lowered my APR's today
I have quite a lot of debt, bith on CC, and also student loans. I sat down today and took a hard look into exactly what I am repaying with each of my CC's, as I have quite a few. I fell into the trap of credit card tarting, and then spending again on the empty cards, so now I am paying the price! I decided to ring up the…
