Fibre broadband status "under review"
From time to time I check the progress of the fibre availability for our cabinet online. Last year we had a date of December 2014 according to http://dslchecker.bt.com/ When the date passed I checked again and to my dismay it now said 31/12/2015  Then I checked on http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk and the status…

Best mobile broadband option, please?
Hello IT-savvy folk, :hello: Hoping you can help: Am looking for mobile broadband in the UK, either on a short contract or no timed contract. Unlimited download would be ideal, and hopefully with fees which won't break the bank. Does such a package exist, please?

Snail Pace Broadband and Plusnet Terrible - need help!

Broadband renogiation
I am in the middle of negotiating my broadband contract, I live at home with my mum, and we pay seperately, I pay £14.99 p/m for broadband with EE, and she for phone with BT. Even though I would like BT Sport, EE have made me an offer of £16.35 p/m all in (phone, line rental, broadband.) Does this sound legitimate?

EE poor billing - made me overdrawn please advise
Hi I am budgeting properly but I recently switched from BT to EE and paid line rental up front. The remaining costs should have been £3.50 (that was the deal I signed up to for 12 months) for phone and broadband plus any calls outside the calling periods/tariffs. The DD came out today for £20 and I did not understand the…

Broadband connection loss every day
Maybe it's my imagination, but since I was forced to move from Virgin to TalkTalk my broadband reliability has gone through the floor! It always used to fail occasionally, but now most days it's going off at some point, causing me to reset the router. Who is likely to be at fault here? TalkTalk or BT? We are on old style…

Talk Talk hassles
Hi all, I'm new here and signed up to hopefully get some advice. I've been with Talk Talk for broadband only since they took over Tiscali many years ago, the service has never been great with internet connection often dropping out. Last December they put their charges up to £20.31 a month. On 7th April this year the…

Ensuring that SKY use the MAC
Is there any way of doing this as otherwise I'm likely to face a £30 charge from Plusnet. I'm keen to join SKY as I've received good reports from many people plus £73 cashback, the £100 M&S voucher and free BB for 12 months makes the deal great value. My speeds should also be better than PN as SKY are LLU from my exchange.

BT and Plusnet transfer costs
Hi. BT have just organised our phone/broadband transfer from Plusnet (Online transfer) I have just had a bill for £30 from Plusnet as they didn't have/give a MAC code. This was BT's responsibility as I understand it but they don't want to know. There was no mention of it when we moved. Plusnet have given us 10 days to pay…

Plusnet problems from beginning
I recently signed up to their fibre broadband and my installation date was confirmed as today between 1-6pm. However, the router hasn't arrived so I rang up and the guy told me that it hasn't even been sent but that he would do it now. He then went off to check and told me that he can't find my fibre order at all  He…

How can I check our bb usage?
Just going through a few broadband deals as we're leaving BT and wondered is unlimited fibre really what we need? The reason we moved to unlimited in the first place was because we kept going over our usage limit with BT, but I was always convinced their monitor was faulty as we didnt use it that much - no streaming/gaming…

broadband decision
Hi all I am currently on a deal with EE for my broadband which works out very cheap as I am an EE mobile customer. I still need to check with them what they can offer me for another 12 months, but I'm doing my homework for elsewhere before I call. I also have Sky TV on a limited package (also got on a great deal) which…

New Build Flat nightmare
Hey folks, firstly I'm new to this. Secondly, I'm moving into a new build flat next month. I've been trying to move services over to the new flat with TalkTalk. There are phone sockets in the flat but I don't think they are activated as I've not moved in there yet. I think they are OpenReach. I spoke to TalkTalk on several…
