Redundancy and tax credits
I opted out of tax credits in January when there were changes for high rate tax payers. However, I have now been made redundant and want to start them up again. My question is.... given that redundancy is compensation for loss of future income, does it count as earnings for this year? Thanks for any advice/pointers!

Frustrated over Invalidity benefit loss.
Get 'm back to work! say some people, referring no doubt to those who appear to be perfectly well, but live off the state. Huh!, my wife looks amazing for her age, (60), but ask her to walk more than half a dozen steps and she would be on the ground. Not only that, she isn't deaf, but has distorted hearing,, then she has…

I have tried ringing the Job Centre to find out but the person I spoke to…
