Ipa
Hi Everyone, Been BR since July 2nd and so far no IPA awarded, although the OR wants to look at my husbands payslips for October to check how much overtime he is working. The thing is, I am considering applying for a new job which would definitely put me in line for an IPA. However, come April next year, my tax credits…

Bro
If you get a BRO does the bankruptcy still fall off your file after 6 years from the date of the actual bankruptcy or is it 6 years from the last day of the order? For example if you get a 6 year BRO would your credit file will be clear in a total of 12 years?

The High's & Low's of Bankruptcy
**Warning slight brain dump, getting off my chest unload coming up** I don't think I've had such a emotionally rollercoaster as we've gone through in the past 5 months since going BR. The most difficult thing that we found is the whole being in limbo, waiting for the OR's decisions along with trying to find a job, just…

How to see the CAB when you can't phone them and they don't accept callers ?
I've tried to speak to the CAB but despite dozens more calls to them, I cannot get to speak to anyone and they don't allow people to just pitch up. I'm a single parent with a young child and cannot traipse off here, there and everywhere. Any ideas ?

Interesting Northern Rock conversation
I called Northern Rok a couple of weeks ago to let them know about bankruptcy and to enquire about voluntary repossession. The top and bottom of it was that in order to go ahead with vol. rep. we HAD to sign their form which I (some time later, asking to talk to supervisor) found out to mean we'd be signing for liability…

CCJ how long before they come knocking.
I'm after some advice regarding a CCJ I think I have that I knew nothing about. It appears that I may have a CCJ from my old address which I never knew about or had any correspondance about. I saw it on my Equifax credit file a few weeks ago while checking it. It is dated Jan 2008. I moved out of that property in Apr 2007…

What next?
Well over the last few weeks, my husband and I have realised that we are in serious financial trouble and are no longer to balance all our outgoings. To date we have never missed a payment, but my husband is self employed and work has been gradually getting slower and slower for him. On top of that, I've been really unwell…

Sams experience of bankruptcy (so far)
A few months ago I was carrying a very heavy load – debts from way back when, mostly from my divorce and from trying to escape an aggressive ex. Back then I lost my house, my car, much of my life…….. and I retained debts. For many years (nearly ten) I have paid and paid and paid and it’s been tough but I never considered…
