Beetroot leaves

I am growing beetroot, does anyine know whether or not you can eat the leaves I am sure Tescos used to sell bagged salad which had beetroot leaves in it. Thanks

    hi rev229 yes you can eat the leaves the small young ones are best use em as mixed leaves in a salad MMMMMMMMMM

    You can steam more "mature" beetroot leaves (just few minutes worth) and eat them cooked. I have done this with olive oil and freshly-squeezed lemon juice myself.

    I'm growing beetroot mainly for the young leaves. I don't much like the actual beetroot.
