Refund of Easy Jet's airport tax

I never made a flight last March, Bristol to Madrid, just got a refund of APT of £10 refunded to the card I used at the time. I rang 01582 700036 free, if you have free calls to STD's numbers. Very painless to carry out and shocked at paying me back well after a year. I wonder how many dont know or claim.

Hi Neil, out of interest did Easyjet levy an admin fee on the tax refund?
Ryanair (and some other operators) charge an admin fee which in some cases are almost as much as the refund.0 -

def no admin fee............. £10 was oubound uk tax, for one person , no tax inbound Madrid so advisor said, having said that the total for 3 people with bags both ways same flights WITHOUT INSURANCE, was £108 and some pence, PP was £36 so I got £10 back , lossed £26, however I did book it early!
I also did not have a breakdown on the flights, however £10 was nearly a third back! 13 months later!
Anybody want further help message me!

Yep, Easyjet are one of the few budget airlines who'll refund your APD with no quibble and no admin charge etc.
You can also apply on-line as well as ringing:

They also allow you to cancel any flight made within 24 hours save for an admin charge of £25, say for instance you made a mistake during the booking stage. See item 3 hereThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

Sorry to drag this up from the dark ages, but does anyone know if Easyjet's policy has changed on this? I've been trying to find a way to get my tax refunded on a flight I want to cancel, but the computer the call gets through to never seems to want to put me through to anyone.
I followed a link from another post on here to a part of the website which - at the time the post was written - allowed you to cancel and request tax back, but that seems to have changed, too, as I can't find the cancellation option.
Any ideas?0 -
You cannot cancel. To reclaim the tax you need to wait until the date for your flight has passed.0
