my gran holds an account in uk (she lives abroad). as she is now getting older my family suggest that i should be added to the account so that we are joint if anything should happen they it is easier to sort things out. with power of attorney she needs to get a letter from her french solicitor (more costs and time!) and we need to fill in 3 papers for the bank in the uk . seems so complicated that mum suggests that we just get some pre-dated cheques which we just cash in if anything happens. will this solve the problem?
