Vanquis card and balance transfer

I have been reading on here about problems with transferring a Vanquis card debt to a 0% deal with another lender.

I wondered if this problem is limited to certain card providers only and if so, which ones are the best option to enable a problem free transfer?

The most reliable means would be a money transfer, albeit the fee is higher.
