Sky increase - can I cancel?

I agreed to an 18 month contract with Sky in January and have now received notification that the price is increasing.
I've just seen a TalkTalk advert that suggested BT customers can leave within their contract as the price is increasing. Can I leave Sky without penalty due to the increase in cost?
I only have a TV package, no phone or broadband.

AFAIK, the tv contract doesn't have the get out clause for above RPI increases. Presuming you have a Sky Q package, their T&Cs state :-

    - In your minimum term, Sky TV prices may increase by up to 10% of the standard price once every 12 months. Other prices and services may also vary. We will let you know about any material changes before we make them.

    oh that sucks!
I don't have Sky Q just regular Sky and was hoping for a get out of the 18 month contract. They don't seem to want to put much info in their email unless it's getting you to have an upgrade!
