Credit card application issues

Hi, My wife is having some issues trying to get a new credit card. About 6 months ago we moved into our first home. I was able to get a virgin 0% card no problem with a 4k limit.

My wife already has an existing barclaycard platinum card woth a 7k limit was going to apply for a new 0% card with a company but so far has had no luck. She has never defaulted, has no outstanding debt and has a credit rating of 956/999. So why is she having problems getting a 0% card?

For the 9 years ive known my wife she has never had an issue getting a credit card/loan/finance so I'm struggling to understand.

Comments

  • Her credit score is fictional so ignore that.

What shows on her credit files? Existing limits, balances, repayment history? What is her income?

The recent move may also have an impact. Does she show on the ER at each of the three CRAs?

How many times has she been declined and by who?
