You need to share with us a short news report on:

What the future might look like if we choose not to take action.

Please finish this sentence at the end of your report:
My promise to the planet is…

You can send either a filmed news report lasting no longer than 60 seconds or a written news report of up to 150 words. You can film on a phone – it’s what you say, and how you say it, that we’re interested in. Reports should be clear, concise, factually correct and very engaging. Anyone aged 7-14 can enter the competition, but please ask your school to register for Earth Hour.

Two winners will come to London to film a professional TV news bulletin with WWF and First News, which will be used in the Earth Hour 2018 campaign.

The winners will also receive an iPad each for their school. There will be two runners-up, each who will receive a year-long WWF species adoption of their choice.

Send entries to, putting Earth Hour in the subject box.
