Rbs loose ‘early pay day’

Options
Rbs e-mail.
I’ll miss early pay day when due on a weekend from Jan2018.
Coninsedence that today wages are in account when pay day is tomorrow.

I don’t understand what you are saying.
I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.

I don’t understand what you are saying.

Salary is paid 28th each month.
When 28th is a Sat or Sun-rbs pays into account Friday before weekend.
E-mail today suggests rbs will proccess all transactions on exact day i.e. no weekends.
If it was in place this month then I wouldn’t get paid until Monday.

    I'll try to decipher:

Received an email from RBS stating that from Jan 2018 payments due on a weekend will now be credited on the day they are due rather than the Friday before. OP will miss having an 'early' pay day.

    Was that correct OP?

It's not a coincidence that your wages have been credited to your account today when they are due tomorrow as that is what you know currently happens and will stop from Jan 2018.

No maybe my post wasn’t simple.
When this change is in effect from Jan2018-I woudln;t have got paid tomorrow.
As rbs are not proccessing during weekend for all transactions.

    Short extract from e-mail
Up until 13 January 2018: Any payments due into your account on a Monday are available to you from the Saturday.

From 13 January 2018: Any payments due into your account on a Monday will only be available to you from the Monday and not the Saturday as before.

The band can do what it likes. Since it;s not consistanmt why doesn;y your employer take the initiative and pay on Friday for weekend dates. Mine does.

OP, you may find that your employer does pay a day early if your wages are due on a weekend or Bank Holiday.

I've looked at the support page for the changes and I think the changes can be summarised as:

Now: Payments due into your account on a Saturday, Sunday or Monday are available to you on the Saturday.

Jan18: Payments due into your account on a Saturday or Sunday will only show as having been credited on the Monday but will be available to spend over the weekend. Payments due on the Monday will be credited and available on the Monday rather than the Saturday.

Now: Payments due out of your account on a Monday are taken two days early on a Saturday.

Jan18: Payments due out of your account on a Monday are taken on the Monday.

It's not as clear as it could be and I may be wrong. It doesn't help that Saturday and Monday are mentioned throughout but Sunday isn't so is presumably captured under the general term 'weekend'.

It currently works both ways and if there is a Monday payment this would reduce the amount available on Saturday. It is about time that RBS corrected this whole weekend insanity.

I do also believe that getting paid today is down to your employer not RBS.
