MBNA app and TouchID

Options
Does anyone know, or has anyone heard, whether MBNA plan to allow fingerprint access to their banking app instead of username and password please?

I did ask them direct and got two replies:

a) we shall transfer your query to the relevant department.

b) a letter in the post containing the current MBNA credit account agreement, terms and conditions!

Neither of which addressed my simple Yes or No question.

Just curious as most of my other banking providers allow it and it speeds up access for quick balance or transaction queries.

Can't see it happening in the near future.

Mbna have just been bought by Lloyds banking group.

They have agreed to use the same systems etc under licence for the next two years. After that, mbna will Ben moved into Lloyds systems at which point their app will be the same as Lloyds
and Halifax. Until then I can't see the mbna app being updated.

Oh why oh why couldn't they have addressed the OP's question?

    Eg:

    1) Yes
    2) No
    3) No plans
    4) Expect an announcement shortly
    5) Unable/unwilling to say
    etc etc

Taking a look at it thanks, however, not a great trustee of third party password managers.

Trying on non banking sites at the moment.

Doesn't work on apps though which was my original question to MBNA.

It is possible that your request is not going to asked by the customer service agent.
They may only deal with enquiries about passwords, account enquiries, payments etc.

Your question seems technical rather account related.

MBNA have be become part of Lloyd banking group.

It's a good questions to ask but you never know what new technology costs to introduce and when & support? It's not just a one person supporting this technology it's would be teams of people.

They be trailing it currently but found there are difficulties before they launch a good enough app to all its customers.

On iPhone 7, iOS 10.3 the MBNA app is no different from the web site: Log in with Username and Password.
