Revolut Problems

Options
Hi All,

Anyone have any experience with this company?

I loaded £10,000 from my UK bank account last week to send to my new Canadian bank account as I now live in Canada.

I provided the correct account details as requested but the payment never showed up. 4 days later I contacted Revolut who said the transfer had failed(they had made no effort to tell me this before I contacted them). Another 3 days and many calls later, I have been refunded the money but I cannot access it. They cannot tell me when I will be able to access my money nor can they tell me why my bank transfer failed. They keep making false promises to get back to me.

Anyone else have any experience with them? They are proving to be a nightmare. Mostly I am in a difficult position as I need that £10,000, they have it and I cannot access it, now more than a week later.

There's a 29-page 'Revolut prepaid MasterCard' thread not far below this one. I suggest you put your story there, for the record, including the reason for your repaid money being inaccessible. Do they require verification of its source? It's rather a lot to entrust to a service you seem not to have researched. Not all banks accept payments via Revolut, using 'The Currency Cloud'.

Well I researched them sufficiently to see that moneysavingexpert recommended them and that they are FCA regulated so my money is protected.

I have already verified my identity with them.

I was referring to source of funds verification. What is the reason for your refunded money being unavailable?
