    Hi NittyGritty

Just to add to your point, the tariffs which are part of Big Switch 4 are cheaper at average usage on average across all regions.

That said and as your screenshot points out, they can be beaten in some scenarios and we do try to make this clear.

At MSE, we're keen to help our users switch and to save money but have no preference on which tariff our users pick - collective or non-collective. There is absolutely no financial benefit to us between a collective tariff and a non-collective tariff.

The only other point to mention (other than price) is around service. For the collective tariffs we push suppliers to go above and beyond their usual practices, including requiring them to set up ring-fenced specialist collective team as well as dedicated email and telephone numbers. Of course, this doesn't mean that everything will run perfectly but hopefully it will help those who are a little less confident about switching (or perhaps who've never switched before) to take the plunge and move off a standard tariff.
  • Flow energy comes up cheapest for me.
Can anyone tell me how often you get online bills from them.
I Am presently with OVO and receive monthly online bills which I like.

Most of these new tariffs are relatively close together ,and the one that suits you best, depends on your gas/leccy split. For instance,if I used more electricity and less gas than I actually do, the MSE BG deal would be unbeatable. But more gas/less leccy then the EHL EON deal becomes the best .
You must enter accurate usage figures (and take account of ETCs) to work out the best package for your circumstances:)
  • According to the last few Moneysaving emails "if you're one of the 70% on a standard tariff, you're still being screwed".

Wrong. I'm on a standard Ebico tariff and I'm not being screwed. The MSE Cheap Energy club switch would make me significantly worse off.

How does that match the Editorial Code? It doesn't, its a clear case of MSE breaching its own editorial code and not acting in my best interest as a consumer.

I'm getting tired of the inaccuracies in the Moneysaving emails, I've reported it twice already but nobody seems bothered at MSE Towers. I guess being right isn't as important as profits.

Makes you wonder what else is wrong?

Please stop the sensationalism and quest for higher profit and go back to being a consumer champion. Above all, tell the truth.

Utter rot. Ebico's tariff is not a Standard tariff by any reasonable use of the words. Your false allegation and claim is even more misleading and sensationalistic. Anyone with a usage that is likely to be sensible for Ebico (excluding prepayment stick-in-the-muds and Direct-a-Debit-a-phobes) would be paying a grotesque amount extra. And you are not one of the 70% in the first place.

And you should not accuse companies of making claims they have not made.

Just recd a mail from Energy Club advising me I could save £250 a year, the calculations are based on the wrong prices allocated to the tariff I am currently on.
When the correct prices for my existing tariff are compared to the latest block switch I could save £30 a year by changing, decided to hang on for another month for something better.

Always do your own calculations with the tariff and check on the suppliers site for plan pricing, not always a simple task to find the tariff prices from different companies, Br Gas I found the most difficult.
