Asda Credit Card - Points
I have an Asda store card at the moment (cleared monthly) but I have applied for an Asda Credit Card. Does anyone know if I get Asda points wherever I use the credit card? The site doesnt make it plain but my sister thinks its only with some "partners" that the Asda points will be applied.
Thank You In Advance.

You’ll collect points (on the first £6,000 of spend each year) every time you use your ASDA Credit Card to pay inside or outside ASDA. So you earn points on groceries, CDs, DVDs, electrical goods, GEORGE, petrol on everything.
Cheers
Steve

Thank you for the reply. I am still unclear as to what "outside" Asda refers to. Does it mean the petrol pumps or cafes? or does it mean other stores ie Marks and Spencer?
I assumed it meant anywhere but the wording can be juggled about if you see what I mean.
I know I am a bit suspicious but I got took in once by that type of wording, never again!

I have an Asda credit card ,I also clear it every month and I was under the impression that I got points no matter where I shop.On looking at the points I get each month this certainly seems to be the case.

You do get points on everything, but the points allocation isn't very generous (0.5% I think) . I've got one in order to take advantage of the 2p off per litre of Petrol but for everything else I've got a different Cashback card that pays a higher %.
Effectively at the mo (excluding the initial deals) you get 0.5% of spend in Asda vouchers paid once per year, or with other cards 1% of spend in cash paid once per year

Today I received a letter from Asda changing their T's & C's
In summary:
From 01/09/07 you will no longer earn points for any fuel purchases at Asda
From 01/11/07 you will earn points on the first £6K of eligible purchases
Will charge 2.5%% on Balance Transfers
Main one is that from 01/09/07 Purchase Protection will no longer cover purchases against accidental damage, loss or theft.
Cheers
Steve
