Anyone know how far from Kos Airport to Kardamena pls?

XL charge £18 each way for transfers - to and from Kos Airport to Kardamena. There are four of us and this cost is adding an extra £144 on top of holiday price.
Does anyone know how far it is to Kardamena from the airport and whether it's cheaper for us to get a taxi ourselves?

kardamenas not far from the airport, takes about 15 mins on the coach so would be quicker in a taxi0
