Very annoyed with Jaguar main dealer body shop repair
Hi all
Just got my Jaguar back from the local main dealer today after having the boot lid resprayed under warranty.
Not happy at all with the standard of work done and also the condition the car has been returned to me in.
1. Although the paint appears to be a good match, the paintwork on the underside of the boot lid is poorly applied, non glossy and there are areas of bare metal showing!!
2. Whoever drove the car has used their satnav and lost the "Power Outlet 12v" plastic cap which covers the cigar lighter socket.
3. There is bodywork damage to the front grille surround, a 5p size chip revealing white paint.
4. Despite being promised by both the dealer and the body shop , the car was not cleaned before bring returned to me.
5. The car was covered in leaves, both under the scuttle panel and inside the rear wings under the boot lid
Totally livid.
They have booked it back in to be looked at on Tuesday but can I trust them to sort it all out?
Any advice gratefully received.
Cheers

Also to add that the badges have been put back on at an angle (ie not straight) and the rear "J A G U A R" chrome strip is now heavily scratched0

Sounds like an issue they need to take up with the backstreet repair shop down the road. Most dealers use them......“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

They use a renowned and fully approved body shop about 10 miles from the dealership, not back street bodge merchants, which makes it even more annoying cos I expected much better of them0
