Premier Property Lawyers Causing me problems, any help please?

Hi all,
I have just purchased a property and Premier Property lawyers acted for the seller.
There is a small section of garden at the back of the property that the seller did not own but has been tending to. The seller completed a form ST1 which is a declaration that he has been looking after the land for over a number of years, and, with this form attached to my declaration, I can get possessory title. This was part of the deal. Also the seller agreed to Covenant breach Insurance on a few small items.
So on completion Premier Property Lawyers are supposed to send to my Solicitor these documents (of which I have photocopies).
After completion on 11th October my Solicitor received no documents at all and he chased them. Two weeks later on 25th October my Solicitor got the document that enabled him to register the property at the Land Registry.
But we are still outstanding the ST1 declaration and the covenant insurance. My Solicitor is chasing them but getting nowhere fast and I am getting seriously pi ss ed off.
Is there any governing body that I can complain about these cowboys to. Apparantly they are not Solicitors, so the Law Society are not interested.
There must be something I can do to make them produce the documents that I am entitled to which was part of the deal.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks for reading,
Andy

Hi Andy - we're having BIG troubles with them. We've complained and they sent me a copy of their complaints procedure... or rather they sent me a letter stating that and forgot to put in the complaints procedure!!! They say I need to go through the "Legal Ombudsman" no idea who or what that is if it exists - but it is interesting that they are not covered by the Law Society. I presume that they are covered by the Conveyancing version - meaning the maximum compensation they can pay out is £5k.
Puts our case agains them for £15k for neligence in the shade!!!0 -
My Solicitor finally got all the paperwork that we are entitled to today. This is exactly 4 weeks after completion.
My Solicitors say they have never ever known anything like it before.0 -
