Its just seems to constantly at the moment prices go up. Then they all announce price drops then it goes back up again. Up and down, up and down.0 -
Yippee....so prices edge up, then the supermarkets look like they are doing us all a massive favour by reducing them back to where they were?

Considering the cheapest place in this area is a village-centre independently run Murco franchise which is 3p cheaper than the nearest town which has 2 supermarkets fighting it out to see how much they can charge.
It's gotten so bad that it's cheaper to fill up in a dual-carriageway service area BP0 -
yes the prices creep up by a few pence and then the big thank you to the motorists and we cut 2p off.............
The biggest fix i have ever seen since my wife decided that this shelf is not falling down ever and used an entire tube of no more nails on it !!!!!:rotfl:0 -
I thought Hoover was going to invent the fusion engine, to power the flux capacitor in the De Lorean, according to Back To The Future. All you need to do is to throw some banana peel in there for fuel. Hurry up Hoover.0

I cycle past the same Tesco / Esso petrol station every day and for the past 6-8 weeks the price has remained at 130.9p the whole time.
I always just look at the price (for I do run a car as well) and this morning the price has now risen to 131.9p so when the "2p reduction" is introduced it is, in effect, just a 1p reduction.
Now, 1p is 1p - that's a saving of about 70p a tank for me - and that's great - but it's not the same as £1.40.0 -
anyone wonder why the decimal penny is still used for fuel pricing? it's ridiculous considering fuel is measured in pounds for a long time now, and not pence. Mind you, i don't know how many people choose our local asda over morissons as they are 0.2p cheaper... or 10-15p a tank.0
