Hi all,
I got a quote of £130+VAT for structural calculations. This is for removing a load bearing wall. The firm is asking for the floor plan and photographs (no site visit).
I am wondering if this is all one needs for the calculations? Does the quote sound reasonable?

in my experience a site visit is always needed, i have never known anyone to do the calcs from a floor plan & photographs, do you plan on removing the wall yourself ? if not why isn't your builder arranging this, removing a load bearing wall is likely to req at least one visit from BC as wellI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
