I had an email about this a few weeks ago, and I'm sure it's been mentioned on here before.
It's such a shame, I loved More! after reading it (and giggling at position of the month!) in my teenage years. But with the technology and people would rather buy it (cheaper) on a device than have paper in hand.
RIP More!Thanks to all posters :A0 -
They said this a month ago (22/04) so the writing was on the wall.Today is a very sad day in the more! office. It's just been announced that publication of more! magazine is to be suspended. Unfortunately, the current economic conditions are just too challenging for publication to continue.
Thanks for your love and support over the years – we'll keep you updated on developments0 -
Cor, More was a staple teenage years as well - though I wasn't a very worldly-wise teen and I think some of it went a bit over my head. I must admit that in recent years I always snuck the chance to read it while waiting at the hairdressers - it still held that kind of illicit appeal!
I know us grown-ups still buy magazines a-plenty (we subscribe to SFX and Empire and read them cover-to-cover, and I regularly buy Chat, Take a Break etc, as occasionally Vogue and Elle, when I'm feeling flush) but I don't think the teens rely on mags nowadays for fashion/relationship/makeup advice or latest news on their favourite bands. Hell, I remember cutting Carter USM's picture and lyrics out of Look-In in 1992 so I could sing along with Only Living Boy in New Cross. I can't imagine many 14 year olds doing that now....Would LOVE to win:
A hamper - any sort! A goody bag - any sort! A UK mini-break. A year's supply of something foodie. Anything Sci-Fi related
2013 wins - Cutting Room book, Rock n Rose necklace, £50 M&S voucher, Greggs coffee, £70 voucher for a Onesie0
